The X-Streams-Trinidad-Ska Rockers America! Material: The X-Streams are dealing in a potentially explosive style: ska-based dance rhythms with a sensual, almost erotic edge. "Hard Time Pressure" “Be A Boy” and “Wet Dream” typify their construction – a tight, Seductive tempo established, embellished by some tasteful lead work and sparkling percussion. Over that, Loraine Springer sings of unleashed lust with coyness than can be quite enticing. Musicianship: Decent, establishing the proper groove. When they are in form, the band projects a cohesive sound, as no one really outshines the rest. Percussionist Mike Tempo added just the right nuances to the beat. Springer’s voice has a high, tinny, little-girlish suggestive remarks seem tawdrier. Performance: Springer is the show here and when she wants to, she can be very involving visually. She has yet to be entirely consistent, but she has no trouble capturing the attention of the male audience. Summary The X-Streams a "Beat Crazy Motor Booty Affair" strong material could make this band really stand out. One thing most bands have always lacked is sex appeal.
