How Things Work are a Seattle foursome who play functioncore: blunt, urgent brass music influenced by art rock and post-punk. Mad inventor and trombonist Tom Yoder formed the band in 2013 to prove new sonic potential for a horn-heavy sound. The other gears in this machine are vocalist Jennifer Campbell, drummer Dave Revelli and Lauren Hepburn on baritone sax. https://soundcloud.com/how-things-work Wynne C Blue originally formed The Troublefakers in 2005 with a group of fellow software engineers looking for a creative outlet. As songs developed, though, it became clear their combination of talents was worth sharing and a band was born. Led by singer/songwriter Wynne C Blue, The Troublefakers have been practicing their brand of powerpop in the Seattle metropolitan area of the Pacific Northwest. Wynne's songwriting influences include Better than Ezra and Indigo Girls, and her vocal style has been compared to both Chrissie Hynde and Gwen Stefani. In 2008, the band name was dropped to promote Wynne's vocal performance and songwriting strengths. The band is still affectionately known as her Troublefakers. With bandmates Barry Markey on bass, Ron Allen on guitar, and Donnie Ivan on drums, Wynne C Blue's sound includes a healthy mix of blues, rock, coffeehouse, dance, and hook-heavy pop sure to grab your attention. http://www.reverbnation.com/wynnecbluehertroublefakers
