'WORLD CLASS GUITARIST'...Internationally recognized, this award winning guitarist performs on acoustic, electric, nylon & steel string guitars and guitar synthesizer in a variety of musical styles and genres. A pioneer of the 'New Sound of Santa Fe' tm and 'Jazzamenco' tm., the artist performs in thumbpicking, fingerstyle, and flatpicking styles...playing jazz, world, new age, latin & rumba flamenca and with classical techniques. Wes is also an accomplished drummer. In addition to leading his own bands, "The Yellow Jackets" and "Sons & Lovers", he formerly performed and toured with Guitar Legend, Les Paul, has performed and recorded with Nokie Edwards of the Ventures, and performed with Mason Williams (Classical Gas), Ruben Romero, Thom Bresh (Son of Guitar Legend Merle Travis), Edgar Cruz, Tim Farrell, Tom Doyle and Lou Pallo from "The Les Paul Trio", and many others. Wes is currently a guitar instructor and member of the faculty of the Santa Fe Community College and also teaches at Grandmas Music & Sound, Albuquerque, NM. He currently performs solo, with his "Wes & Mito" guitar duo, with his Smooth Jazz band "Ambiance", and with his traditional old country band, "EZ Company". In addition to his concert, corporate and private performances, Wes has also become known by many as New Mexico's Premier Wedding Guitarist, in high demand for both ceremonies and receptions, alike. Wes' has released several recordings including "Hypnotic Safari", "Flamenco Flavors", "Flamenco Festival", "From Seville to Santa Fe", and "Canciones del Alma" (Songs from the Soul). Over 80,000 albums have been sold worldwide and the music is aired on "Malcolm in the Middle", "MTV'S Made", "Roswell" and "The Weather Channel".
