War Beyah

Hailing from Milwaukee WI, War Beyah was born to Najah & Ronald Beyah(The first black Islamic chaplain in Wisconsin). At the early age of two, he was taken away from his parents & sent through a long cycle of foster homes,physical abuse, & poverty. He started developing a passion for rhyming at ages 8 & 9. Even before then, he had a strong attachment to classic music. This passion was so heartfelt, he’d shed tears as emotion inducing music would play at the end of films. At an early age, he’d go to his fathers speeches at Temples, churches, & Masonic lodges. In the front seat, wide eyed, listening to his father is where he drew much of his inspiration. That’s when his destiny became clear to him. He decided he would be an emcee, deep rooted in the essence of hip hop, tracing it as far back as the time of the Griots of Africa. Living on the rough Milwaukee streets, he drew inspiration from the struggles of his people. Thats when he met Numerik & Kev Karnage (Eye God). The three brothers began to come together to discuss social issues, ancient metaphysics & pretty much any form of factual knowledge they could get their hands on. This is where he learned “syllable mastery”, an element of rhyming rarely mastered. He’d record freestyle tapes weekly with Numerik & Kev Karnage. “Back then it was like training as hard as possible daily, for the session at the end of the week. Due to the lack of housing, poverty, & incarceration, his early archive is unavailable. Upon his departure from R.C.I(Racine Correctional Institution) a C.O(correctional officer) stole his longest, most lyrical verse. A verse from A to Z including every word in the dictionary(1000 plus pages), in every delivery he could imagine. During that time, he also wrote 8 books, many business plans, martial arts training programs that were also stolen from him. Immediately after his release, he dropped “Glazen” with FNS Music Group, a half lyrical, half mainstream mixtape! Unfortunately he wasn't able to promote it due to legal issues. In mid 2010, he went back to prison due to his failure to comply with the law. In 2012 he was re-released & soon to be free from probation. Receiving little support from his local community who were more interested in appealing to the mainstream majority, he began to link with people globally. “That’s when he dropped “Milwaukee Listen to the Lyrics”, A mix-tape featuring artists like Denku, Kev Karnage, Numerik & Mr. Arachnid, with production from Go7en(Travon Taylor) & Paul Pbutcha Bouchard!!!”Though he hasn't dropped many Albums or Mix-tapes, his catalog is very large.
