Her journey towards a path of music began at an early age of 7 and progressed over many years to her success of growing a fan base and recording two mix tapes, & two albums. The thought of having any other career is not a subtle thought on her mind. Her uncle Dj Cainie B helped her begin writing at age 7 and she recognizes him as the motivation behind why she continues to write and challenge herself to excel. Pioneer musicians such as Billie Holiday, Tina Turner, Tupac, Jay Z, and writer Maya Angelou are the reasons for believing she can reach personal gratification as well as success. She has just completed her sophomore 2013 project titled Enigma Chapter II titled;HallowQueen. The project follows her first mix tape Voice the Real Doll volume 1 (2010), and her second Enigma Chapter I titled;Voice (2011). A Hybrid Project (mix tape) with Metal 2 Music is on it's way (2014). The amount of collaborations and features she has with local artists and beyond are uncountable. She has performed at many of the top venues in Baltimore Md, and opened for some top artist touring the area, such as Hopsin and Machine Gun Kelly to name a few. She has been out of town to venues as well to open for signed artists; Twisted Insane is a good one to remember. She has an Associates of Applied Science in Criminal Justice and is currently enrolled in the Integrated Arts Bachelor’s degree program. She has been nominated for Under the Radar artist 2012, and has been featured in 2011 and 2012 annual Hip Hop in Pink Cancer tributes where she performs as charity for the event, as well as the Art Exhibit >From Niggas to Gods>@ the Ravens Warehouse in Baltimore (2014). There are a host of interviews from Youtube to digital newspapers and magazines to catch a glimpse into what she stands for. Voice is trying to create a movement for females that second guess themselves instead of speaking loud and clear. Her focus is to motivate women to be fearless of what others think of them and step forward, head high and with confidence. She has began a mentoring group for youth of all ages. Cre8 it Forward is a program where she gets to teach from her experiences, and inspire another to dive into their dreams with their thinking caps on paying close attention to all surroundings, Many women in the industry believe you have to change and they do to satisfy “whoever”, Voice begs to differ, she strives to remain an artist that all women can relate to and the main goal is consistency at all times. >>>Artist Statement: Some people call what I do rapping, but I beg to differ. The feeling of escaping pain; expressing what’s inside; releasing turmoil; or exhaling joy all the while inhaling recognition cannot be named after a word that only relates to noise. I am a lyricist. I create pictures from within using metaphors as the paint and my voice as the canvas. The possibilities of expression are never ending as I press outside the margins for natural reactions to my craft. My intentions hold value even if the audience perceives it in their own personal value. I am a performer. What I seem surely isn’t what I am. I use music to release emotions that are difficult to let go of any other way. The ability to capture a moment when I am the center of focus is thrilling. The opportunity to entertain, relate to, and touch the minds of many is overwhelming, yet supporting to the functioning of my reality. I have no specific genre, Dark, Gothic/Hip Hop/Rock/Spoken Word… I live within them all. They all live within me. Since being diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer I have been a force to be reckoned with and I do not plan to stop there. At time I am feeling lonely in a crowded room or I feel that no one understands. I’ve had rough days and I’ve had easy days and in overall music was a part of each day in some major way. To be creative in an expressive manner resides inside my soul and I simply have to have rhythm as some sort of balance to the world. I am a survivor, I say what I want, and I speak how I feel. I have supporters and fans that follow closely. They totally get me. My music takes no prisoners, and to me, this speaks volumes for my strength as a woman prevailing in such a tough arena!
