Music is the key for sharing people's mind n soul..we will know it & feel it at the same time ~ ViViolet ~ ViViolet is a new singer-songwriter and lyricist from Bandung, Indonesia. Singing is part of her life since she started to speak at around 3 years old. She had joint some of singing activities and some competitions since she was in elementary school, as soloist and choir (soprano). At first, she only loved listening and singing a lot of songs. It was just a hobby because education is the main point in her family. So, she never took a serious lesson in music. But, her music activities at school and her hobbies in listening and singing for multiple genre becomes her mentor and great experience in her life. She listened not only one music genre. Some famous and pro singer become her inspiration as well as her passive mentor as a singer, e.g Celine Dion, Adele, Christina Aguilera, Regina Spektor, Rossa (Indonesia), and Siti Nurhaliza (Malaysia). Theirs songs and singing techniques become her lesson in learning how to sing. The other hobbies become her reason for starting and practicing as songwriter and lyricist. She loves to muse or doing deep soul searching because of a lot of thing, e.g about the world or life situation, story of novels or movies, people’s life, etc. It becomes her inspiration for creating a lyric. Her experience in learning English poetry in college and also her hobbies in listening a lot of songs become her first guide as singer-songwriter and lyricist. She wants to share her mind, feeling, and soul about a lot of thing that’s intriguing her through the one thing that she loves the most, singing. Her belief that music can be a key for sharing and healing people’s mind and soul become her spirit in doing her new passion as singer-songwriter and lyricist. She loves to learn anykind music genre. Her mood and feeling create humming sound in her head. And her mind create the lyric. That is how she started it. Since her first time sharing her songwriting online in September 2014, the most memorable thing is her first online collaboration with a musician from England, FaffiGP. She helped creating the lyric and singing in his instrumental music ‘Wish’. Even with her lacking recording tool(only handphone) and little experience, he and his wife gave theirs support and new courage for her for sharing more in FBpage. It was an unbelievable experience for her especially because of their living gap (England-Indonesia). Through him, she get so many new musician friends from around the world who give her more support, guidance, and lesson from their experience. And She feels the blessing from it.
