Vile Insignia

MEMBERS: Cody Emms - Guitar/Vocals Jesse Nyboe- Guitar Aaron Panich- Drums Devan Shandilya- Bass Vile Insignia was formed in late 2011 in Calgary, Alberta Canada.  With several broad but severely key influences such as  Behemoth, Belphegor, Vital Remains, Negator, Emperor, etc. The band has pushed themselves to the Higher rankings of the  western Canadian metal scene, while maintaining  a mutual relationship of respect with fans, friends, and  promoters alike. Vile Insignia prides themselves in giving a no gimmicks, and no  bullshit approach to their music. Their interest in solely the  music has pushed them away from a lot of the politics involved  with the heirarchy of playing in a local scene, which has turned  a lot of heads and paid off to produce slots on high profile shows  and events. The Band was completed in late 2012, with the push to find a  bassist to help them open up for Kataklysm's "Iron Will Tour"  with Fleshgod appocalypse and Origin. Finding the final Piece  of the puzzle and preparing for the release of their first demo,  they seem poised for success. 2012-2013 was an extremely  successful year for Vile Insignia. Starting off with a successful  Cd release still one of the most successful releases in the  promoters history, there was no stopping them from proving  they are a forced to be reckoned with.  Continuing to play local shows and promoting the first demo,  Vile Insignia teamed up with a few local bands to form the  VileBurningSin tour, which found its way across western  Canada. Near the end of the tour they were asked to participate  in Calgary's Noctis 666, opening up for such acts as Carcass,  Blasphemy, Possessed, Gorguts, Bolzer and Revenge. With  such a successful year it seemed it couldnt get much better,  until they were asked to take over a slot in Calgary for  Devourment on Dying Fetus' tour with Exhumed and Abiotic. Finishing off the year on a strong note, Vile Insignia decided to  participate in 2014 Wacken Metal Battle Canada. Being one of the only bands to recieve an encore on their first  battle, and winning they seemed again to be a force to be  reckoned with. Making it to the calgary finals and having the  ability to play in such intense competition with talented local  acts, has pushed the band to realize their true potential for their breed of Black/Death Metal.
