Too Tall Tom was voted "Best Jersey Shore Guitarist" by members of the Society of Associated Performers in Asbury Park, NJ. In 1998 he won the title of "National Slide Guitar Champion" with his electric playing at the National Slide Guitar Festival in Gray, Tennessee. New Orleans studio owner, Robert Butterfield, has said , "Too Tall Tom is probably one of the best slide guitarists in the world!". Too Tall Tom has played major venues from The Bitter End in New York City to The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC, always to rave reviews. Music columnist Christopher Barry, has said, "Too Tall Tom! Truly the finger-raving, flying-on-blind-intuition Rainman of Slide Guitar! He is the real deal, folks!"
