Tom Sigmon
Tom Sigmon is a singer and performer who began his musical career when he was in choir with the Christian school that he attended from sixth grade to graduation. Tom's love of music and the desire to express his belief in God began at an early age with the inspiration of crooners like Bing Crosby, Perry Como and Dean Martin. During his high school years, Sigmon was given many solo parts in plays and performed in front of many judges, winning first place solo at a music festival for the tri-state area with one of the songs on this album called, "I'll Walk with God." More recently, Sigmon has been singing with a local barbershop group called, "The Culpeper Minutemen Chorus," and is part of a newly formed barbershop quartet called, "The Forlorn Hope." Sigmon sings regularly in the annual Singing Valentines. Musical selections for the album come from well known hits, as well as some hidden gems. With the assistance of Becky Stewart, new arrangements were created to reflect the Gospel Jazz flair similar to the style Ray Charles' had popularized. 'I Believe' will touch the hearts of the old with its timeless classics, as well as the young with more upbeat tunes such "Are You Ready", with lyrics written by his 14 year old daughter Rosey, and original music composed by Becky Stewart. "With "I Believe" I hope to spread the joy I find in God by sharing with as many people as possible the music that He inspires in me" -Tom Sigmon
