The Widowers

The Widowers is a Louisiana-based rock quartet. The band's sound has been compared to the likes of "Foolish-era Superchunk" and "70s punk mixed with Johnny Cash-like vocals." Never content to stay put, the band has released a slew of EPs and singles between 2010 and 2011. In November, 2011, the band released the single "Roach Motel/Saturday City Lights." While the band has ventured into energetic alternative rock on past releases, the latest tunes show a more acoustic side of the band.
