“Theolodge has a “no days off” motto, a phrase he features in some of his songs. And even though he gets tired every now and then, the music wakes him up, he said. Theolodge is committed to hip hop and equates his love of music to a marriage. “Music means a lot – some guys do it for the glitz and the glamour; I guess they're thinking model chicks and popping bottles,” said Theolodge. “But it's just like being married to someone; when you're in love with something you work harder to make sure everything works – and I'm in love with hip hop.” The rapper is not only driven by his love of music and inspired by big names in rap, he's determined to succeed for his late father and his mother, who, Theolodge said, has bent over backwards to help her son with his career. Knowing that he has to be local before he goes global, the “no days off” rapper works tirelessly toward his goal. ”
