The Mound Builders

Sonically and alphabetically, The Mound Builders fit somewhere between Motorhead and Mountain. Hailing from Lafayette, Indiana, they are inspired by life in the Midwest, ancient history, and the mysteries of the cosmos. Their music circumnavigates their four favorite cardinal points on the musical compass: metal, stoner, punk, and doom. The Mound Builders came into existence with the current line-up in late 2009. They released their debut full-length CD "Strangers in a Strange Land" in 2011. A follow-up limited edition split cassette with Bo Jackson 5 was released on Record Store Day 2014. A new 4-song EP entitled "Wabash War Machine" was released on CD December 5th 2014. The first 100 copies included a limited edition comic and merchandise pack that takes fans on a post-apocalyptic journey through the heartland. The Mound Builders have shared the stage with notable bands like The Skull, Apostle of Solitude, Devil To Pay, Beast In The Field, The Midnight Ghost Train, and Against The Grain.
