The Jes Powers Project

The Jes Powers Project will curate unique music series, the first of which is entitled Chanteuse and features 7 female vocalists who will perform three original songs and one cover from a selected musical icon. These shows will occur once every two months and will feature different vocalists and musicians. In addition to vocalists from different genres, one or two "star" musicians will be invited to participate. Additionally, the vocalists will perform one or two group songs--the theme is collaboration! The Jes Powers Project is a band; these series are the vehicle by which I am able to perform my original music and collaborate with other musicians and vocalists.In any given show the "band" will consist of different members. The Jes Powers Project will facilitate collaborations--while I included this as a part of the other two points, it also deserves to stand alone. The region abounds with talented musicians and vocalists--I want to create music and experiences with them all!
