The Jalapeno Heads

We are a 5 piece band from Austin Texas. We all went to school together and met growing up. At about the age of 13, we decided to create a band. It started with Mitch Brown (Drums and Lead Vocals) and Jeff Bouvier(Bass). Soon, Andy Bouvier was brought in for lead guitar, and then Steven (Guitar, Keyboard, backing vocals) and Ben(Rhythm Guitar) were added. We started playing at a venue in Austin called the Red Eyed Fly. As more and more people came to see us play, we got more and more show offers. We eventually were given a slot in the 2010 Battle of the Bands contest for Raw Deal Productions at Red Eyed Fly. We surprisingly won it, and because of that, we recorded a four track EP and did a music video with Raw Deal Productions for our song "Your Mother Told Me". Soon after, we recorded another EP with "The Recording Conservatory of Austin." We released it online, and it got a good reception from people. Eventually, we worked our way to opening for acts such as "Bright Light Social Hour" and had a large following. Today, our music can be found on itunes, and our own website, www.thejalapenoheads.com. In March of 2012 we also played a free show for the SXSW music festival in Austin. Its been hard work, but we hope to keep making strides in our musical career!
