The Depth Within

The Depth Within is an ambitious new band that sparked from Columbus, OH in early December of 2012. One of the main components that the band is proud of is the lack of a repetitive heavy sound. Even though there are other bands out there that have a metalcore sound, the members want to bring something new and different to the table to give variety to the local scene. Currently the band has released a single called “Reality”, that gives a small taste of what kind of sound they want to achieve. They are working on completing their EP before they begin booking shows so that they can hit the scene sounding and looking like a professional band. Central Ohio, where The Depth Within is from, has had a lot of success in the metalcore scene and spawned some major bands. Some of these notable bands that came from this area are Attack Attack, Like Moths to Flames, The Devil Wears Prada, Affiance, The Plot in You, and Twenty One Pilots. The Depth Within is hoping that they can have the same success as these bands and that they can continue to evolve as a band.
