Partners 'n Crime
Since Partners 'n Crime's EP "Animated" debuted on Americana and internet radio across the US and Canada, in February 2015, two songs "Enough!" and "I'm Thankful for the Love" have been in the Top Ten of Alt Folk in the Roots Music Report. The EP itself was in the Top Twenty for the first half of the year. They are currently performing with the Melrose Music Review at Viva Cantina (in Burbank, CA) on a monthly basis, and making appearances at various vineyards around Central and Southern California. Now, a bit of our history.... Tapia Corel and Jim Rhodes have been performing and writing since 2009. They have played in various rooms, ranging from industry music rooms like Cody Bryant's Viva Cantina in Burbank (http://vivacantina.com) to supper clubs like Vitello's to earthy coffee houses like The Talking Stick in Venice. Their songs reflect the lives of many, who have 'been there, done that," and came back to do it again -- and again, sometimes with a Beatle-esque twist. Influenced by the iconic masters of music of the 60's, their sound is known for a cool mix of genres and blends, with uncanny DNA-type harmonies filled with joy, passion and on a few occasions, sorrow.
