Suture Self

SutureSelf are a female-fronted four-piece from Chicago, Illinois. Blending elements of electronica, metal, EBM, and industrial, SutureSelf are a band that is difficult to categorize. The band’s fans have collectively dubbed them “epitronica” because of the longer nature of their songs and the overall cinematic quality to them. The band consists of vocalist Ronay Chase, guitarist Charles Kuss, guitarist/programmer Brandon Chase, and drummer Montford Whiteley. SutureSelf released their debut EP, entitled “New Skin”, in 2010. The EP gained the attention of adult film actress Tara Tainton, and resulted in the band being contracted to provide music to her line of fetish films. A number of instrumental and exclusive tracks can be heard in Tainton’s productions. SutureSelf released their first full-length album, entitled “Evolve”, in October of 2011 to rave reviews. The band signed to Beyond Therapy Records in 2012 and released their remix album, entitled “Newer Skin”, in September of the same year. SutureSelf has shared the stage with such notable artists as: Bella Morte, God Module, Imperative Reaction, Cylab, Ventana, The Ludovico Technique, System Syn, Lowe, and Cyanotic.
