Steve chapman Smith Has had a wide and varied musical career to date. He has played on many recordings from bands including Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Fiat Lux, Ghostdance, Riprize, Ada Wilson, Stranger than Fiction and more recently The Troubadors. He has also had the pleasure of recording 4 sessions for the late great John Peel with Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and Ghostdance at the BBC's Maida Vale studios. Steve has spent the last 5 years writing, recording and performing with “The Troubadors” playing their own take on “Americana” at many festivals and club dates around the UK. He has now launched a solo career showcasing his original material with a few much loved covers from artistes such as Steve Earle, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Gram Parsons and The Stones. Passionate songs of grit and substance, real songs about real people and real life. No rose tinted glasses here!
