Spaziergang

Spaziergang is a 2010’s portuguese band consisting of vocalist Suspiria Franklyn (Les Baton Rouge), bassist Nuno Maltês (The Great Lesbian Show) and guitarist Nikki Louder (Gnu). When you join these members from such different bands and influences, you can’t go wrong. Their sound is very hard to define but one might say Spaziergang music is mostly characterised by a hybrid of new wave, jazz rock and german cabaret. Combining Suspiria’s voice with society-themed lyrics, new wave bass lines and rock/jazz guitar riffs, the band is able to create and express an unique feeling and atmosphere. The history of Spaziergang began in the summer of 2010, when Suspiria invited a long time friend, Nuno Maltês, to join her in a new band. The purpose was doing something with a different musical concept from all the previous bands. A few weeks later, Nikki Louder joined them. Altough they never met him before, his name was suggested by other musicians and they all hit along right away. By the end of the year, the band already had some songs writen and composed, so during January 2011, the band was on studio to make the first recordings, produced and engineered by Bruno Plattier.
