SKALIE Formed 1996 in Cawang the eastern of Jakarta, SKALIE in one band pioneers of SKA in the revolution and the first movement of Rude Boy in Jakarta, came from a slogan that is always they launched it's "hidup hanya sekali, puaskan diri sebelum mati" (in English "only live once, indulge before death") (insert in the song lyrics Sexy Molly) then they replace the word "SEKALI" (in English"once") to "SKALIE" and make as they band name. Also that year SKALIE start actively playong in clubs and cafes are always made in place of indie music performances like POSTER CAFE etc, and also on the spot event music in college or school with covering songs from British SKA idol band Of SKALIE namelyMadness and The Specials. In the year following is SKALIE managed to gather a lot of loyal fans who have always come in all SKALIE performance. In the period 1998-1999 is a tough year for SKALIE which impede them to do the show because many clubs and cafes that does not allow SKALIE to play at their place caused by a brawl between spectators is always the case in every show of SKALIE, if EO (Event Organizer) still invites SKALIE it will be difficult to get permission from the managers of club or cafes and getting further from reality causing by their drugs addicted from every personal Skalie dismissed them selves in late of 2000. in early 2002 they rebuild with the latest personal Hadi (Vocal) pick o(guitar) kentang(bass) Botaxz(Drum) Yoga(keyboard) skalie start to make to make a positive come back appearances and the new attitude, they finally getting their audiences back. in July 2007 Skalie finally Released their 1st Debut album "For Sale" and on 3rd February 2017 the second album called "Abadalabid" has released!
