Self Tort is the stage and recording persona of Brian Ralston, a refugee from the 60s and 70s, performing live both as a "one man band" and as a solo acoustic performer.
Self Tort's songs are written and performed with wit and passion. His vocals have been compared with Joe Cocker,Van Morrison and Bruce Springsteen.
Self Tort's debut CD "NIC" was released in 2006 and has received extensive airplay on community and internet radio both in Australia and internationally.

Thought I'd post this to celebrate the completion of the "Tortology" CD. It's a song I wrote about Sydney's homeless as a result of walking out of the Old Supreme Court Building late last May.
