About
Richard started Quirkworks Laboratory Discs in 1991 allowing him the freedom to create music of a more experimental nature and remain in control of his musical direction. The next fifteen years would see Richard release twenty recordings of new material, a compilation of previous Quirkworks' releases, a CD of alternate or previously unreleased tracks, co-produce and contribute musically to Mary Zema's Songs of Early Paradise as well as contributing tracks to numerous compilations and various other musical projects. Of the new material recordings, three quickly rose to the #1 placement on industry charts as well as receiving numerous other honors. In 2004 Richard's recording The Reality Temples was nominated for the NAR Lifestyle Music Awards Best Electronic Album and his 2005 recording Saiyuji was nominated for the NAR Lifestyle Music Awards Best Ambient Album.
In March 2007 Bone released Via Poetica, a collaboration with poet/vocalist Lisa Indish and Experiments '80-'82, a limited edition CD of selected tracks from his work from 1980 to 1982. Bone has also completed a new rhythmic recording entitled Infinite Plastic Creation that released September 10th of this year. Other projects for the future include a new video project in progress titled Short Waves - 20 Brief Excursions in Surreal Video and an in-depth biographical book devoted to Bone's life and musical career compiled by a British author.
