Rearview Ghost

Loud guitars and powerful gritty vocals are the fuel for Rearview Ghost ~ a self proclaimed, "dirty southern hard rock band" ~ led by female vocalist Josia and comprised of guitarist Craig “King of Noise” Shadix and bassist Flip Cooper. Recently voted north Alabama's “Best Local Rock Band," "Best Local Female Singer," and "Best Overall Band" in the Valley Planet's annual, "Best of the Valley 2013,” this North Alabama band has been bucking trends and pushing boundaries by bringing back an old flair and mixing in their own modern dirty rock twist much in the vein of Led Zeppelin, The Dead Weather, Foo Fighters and The Pretty Reckless. After a successful indiegogo fund-raising campaign supported by their fans, Rearview Ghost went into the studio to record their second album. They just recently completed recording their new CD with studio legend Michael Wagener at WireWorld Studios in Nashville, TN. Wagener has produced and/or mixed platinum selling albums by Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, Janet Jackson, Alice Cooper and Extreme to name a few. Releasing their second album within two years, the band's long-awaited, "Revolution of an Open Mind" will drop May 30th 2014. In anticipation of their new album, they released their first single, "Devil's Backbone" in advance and it has been climbing the regional rock charts and radio ever since. Rearview Ghost has played many venues and huge outdoor festivals ~ such as Workplay Theatre and Iron Horse in Birmingham, AL; Sammy T's, Crossroads, Whistlestop and Riverfest in Huntsville, AL; Hard Rock Cafe, 12th & Porter, The Rutledge and FooBar in Nashville, TN; Rhythm and Brews in Meridian, MS; Irish Rock Festival in Seaside Heights, NJ and Play Sports Bar in Staten Island, NY ~ both headlining and opening with bands including Candlebox, Rehab, Almost Kings, Surrender the Fall, My Darkest Days, Super Bob, Within Reason and Shallow Side.
