Maestro Aaron Kula conducts the 60-piece KCO (Klezmer Company Orchestra) in a concert of beloved American classics including music from Copland's popular ballet “Rodeo,” Bernstein's “A Musical Toast”; and Tchaikovsky's rousing “1812 Overture.” Guest vocalist Daniel Cochran will sing Copland’s “Old American Songs” and “Singin' in the Rain” from the original film score. This year marks the seventh KCO Spirit of America concert celebrating FAU Libraries' Marvin and Sybil Weiner Spirit of America Collection.

Director Aaron Kula and KCO cross cultural boundaries, transforming and reimagining vintage Yiddish songs with American jazz and Latin rhythms. Tenor Daniel Cochran leads his vocal quartet in arrangements influenced by swing and spirituals. The concert also marks the release of the orchestra’s new CD, Klezmerology. The international award-winning KCO celebrates its 15th year with Roots, Rhythm & Soul, one of the most exciting musical events of the season!
