Phil Cavill
Phil Cavill was first discovered in 1991 when, at the relatively mature age of 27 and with no formal training he walked into an open audition for Miss Saigon and was hired on the spot. Originally given a job in the ensamble, he was regulary asked to play "the Engineer" but after a couple of months he was spotted by Sir Cameron Mackintosh himself and asked to audition for Les Misérables. Such was his talent that for only his second job as a singer, he was playing the lead role in the most famous and successful musical in Londons West End. Phil Continued to play Jean Valjean in Les Misérables from 1993 to 1996 in Edinburgh during 1998 and on tour in 1999.
