Band Achievements 2016 IMEA Bluegrass Band Of The Year 2016 Blazin Bluegrass Competition Winner Open Rail has become a standard name for bluegrass bands in the Ohio Kentucky and West Virginia areas. In 2010 the band was selected to be the Historical Ariel Ann Carson Dater Performing Arts Center's home band. In 2012 as in most things the band ended it's reign as home band and focused on performing all over the country. The band has begun to make an impact in the world of bluegrass and their style of high lonesome and solid music has made the band a favorite of anyone that hears them play their brand of Bluegrass. Their music is based on their faith in God through Christ, being the sharpest and cleanest sound they can produce. Vocals are always the spot light for this band, and proved to be solid as ever in 2016. 2016 Open Rail won the Blazin Bluegrass festival contest, and was named IMEA for Bluegrass band of the year. Open Rail features Mark Kinney Vocals and Guitar, Don Titus play Banjo, John Cardwell Vocals and Mandolin, Brian Ison Vocals and Bass Guitar, Jeff Fields on Guitar. Open Rail proudly endorses Fields Guitars and Nichols Road Mandolins.
