Odessa
There are several projects around called Odessa. Since being mixed up with those others (even another Techno project from Belgium is among) is not a compliment at all, here at first a description: Odessa on Discogs » http://www.discogs.com/artist/Odessa+(8) Frédérique Franke may easily be recognized. Her voice has branded the Belgian duo Ming (stopped in 2006). However, she had not been just the singer in that known Electronica duo, but has got certain influences on all productions since the beginning, too. In 2005 she founded a new Minimal House duo called Odessa (together w/ Philip May from Geneva) featuring her voice perfectly saving. Odessa’s debut was released in 2006, followed by bootlegged remakes/remixes for Superpitcher, Kalkbrenner, Voigt, in which they converged their reduced Electronica with deep housy Techno. In 2007 their EP Donna came out and was right away charted by artists such as Dominik Eulberg, Ricardo V., Mia. Lake (2008) consolidated their new school Belgian Minimal House vantage point.
