Octo Gato

Mixing the wave-drenched vibe of instrumental surf music such as Dick Dale, The Trashmen, and Man or Astro-Man, combined with garage rock, and crooning that could be described as the lovechild of Elvis Presley and Lux Interior from The Cramps, Octo Gato is a surf punk band out of South Florida that just wants to get tropical. Founded in 2014, Octo Gato has a three-member crew with Cap'n Octo, (Mike Locke), steering the ship on vocals and guitar, Seaman Steve (Stephen Caputo) on bass, and Nicky Blackbeard (Nicky Cedeno), on drums. With the success of their international tours and video releases for “Superpuss” and "31 Flavors", the Octo-boys are far from fin-ished, and plan to ride the wake into 2017 with more USA touring and quirky video releases.
