MR. BOUVIER (BMI) Mr. Bouvier is a Washington, DC-based artist whose music is driven by love, and drenched in contemporary soul. Inspired by artists like Anita Baker, Will Downing, and Luther Vandross other legendary contemporary R&B artists of the 90’s – his vocal style and demeanor have landed him many comparisons to the great John Legend, as exhibited on his latest release “Fade” – a smooth urban R&B cut that clearly recalls his throwback inspirations but with a fresh and progressive twist. A Richmond, VA native, Mr. Bouvier is no stranger to the music industry. He got his start early in life, performing with the South Richmond Boys’ Choir. He later attended a performing arts high school, and continued to further his gifts by singing gospel music in church. Mr. Bouvier has had the opportunity to share the stage with the notable gospel artists like Ernest Pugh, Yolanda Adams and Richard Smallwood A former, media personality, Mr. Bouvier has had a successful talk show “The Morning Wood Show”, where he has interviewed artists like Luke James, Lil Mo, and famed Beyonce Creative Director Frank Gatson. Fueled by inspiration, he penned his debut single Love War, a heartfelt urban-pop anthem, featuring DJ Richie Skye and released it in 2013; with a remix (So In Love) produced by Fatha Julz in 2014. Since then he has released the equally successful, Because We Can and the hauntingly uplifting Hallelujah in collaboration with rapper, Chunk, to raise awareness of the current climate of race relations in America.
