Idealized in Ilha Do Governador (Rio de Janeiro – Brazil) in 2005 and passing through many formations, the band was in a great hiatus for some years. In 2011, with many influences such as Sepultura, Lamb Of God, Pantera and others and with lyrics written in Portuguese, which themes rise the questioning nature of human being and with the entry of not just one, but two singers who had just left their respective bands, entered directly in studio to record its first material. “Nosce te Ipsum” was the first result, released as a web single in december 2011, achieved a great repercussion in the Rio de Janeiro’s underground, which yielded several shows and fans since the release. In January 2012, without wasting time, released their second song, also released as a web single, entitled “The Great Cavern”. With just two web singles, Maieuttica is among the top 10 in the Reverbnation’s site. Maieuttica was invited to one of the biggest musical festival in South America, the Grito Rock (Rock’s Scream), in the Cabo Frio’s edition. Currently, they are on tour publishing their first EP called “Conheça a Ti Mesmo” (Know Yourself), launched in May 2012, what yielded shows in others states. In October 2012, Maieuttica lanched the videoclip of "The Great Cavern". In parallel, they're recording the second EP, planned to be launched in 2013. . [Portuguese/Português] . Idealizada na Ilha do Governador em 2005 e passando por diversas formações, a banda esteve num grande hiato por alguns anos. Em 2011, com influências de diversas bandas como Sepultura, Lamb Of God, Pantera, entre outras, abordando com letras em português, temas existenciais e que despertam a natureza indagadora do ser humano, e com a entrada de não apenas um, mas dois vocalistas que tinham acabado de sair de suas respectivas bandas, entram diretamente em estúdio para gravar seu primeiro material. "Nosce te Ipsum" foi o primeiro fruto, lançado como web single em dezembro de 2011, alcançou ótima repercussão no meio underground carioca, o que renderam alguns shows e fãs, desde então. Em janeiro de 2012, sem perder tempo lançam seu segundo trabalho inédito, lançado também na forma de web single, intitulado: "A Grande Caverna". Com apenas duas web singles, estão pelo site Reverbnation, entre as 10 mais acessadas bandas de Metal do Rio de Janeiro. Foram convocados para um dos maiores festivais da música independente da América Latina, o Grito Rock, na edição de Cabo Frio. Atualmente estão em tour divulgando o Ep, intitulado: “Conheça a Ti Mesmo”, lançado em Maio de 2012, o que rendeu shows em São Paulo, Curitiba e Salvador. Em outubro de 2012, foi lançado o clipe de "A Grande Caverna". Em paralelo, estão gravando o segundo Ep, previsto para 2013.
