Leslye LoMenzo

Bay Area vocalist and songwriter Leslye LoMenzo is preparing for a new chapter in her musical career, developing fresh original material and an artistic direction centered on acoustic pop and contemporary singer-songwriter music.

This page currently serves as an archive of recordings from earlier projects, offering a glimpse into the diverse musical experiences that have shaped her artistry.

A Berkeley, California native, Leslye’s musical background spans pop, R&B, funk, gospel, musical theater, and acoustic music. In 1996, she signed with Atlantic Records subsidiary Riot Records as lead vocalist and co-songwriter of the dance/pop duo Full Circle, alongside Kenya Bradford. The duo recorded an EP featuring production by Rick Barretta and contributions from Carl Wheeler of Tony! Toni! Toné! Although the project was never commercially released, the experience helped establish the foundation for Leslye’s subsequent original songwriting and recording work.

As a member of the award-winning Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, Leslye had the opportunity to share the stage with renowned artists including Branford Marsalis, Tramaine Hawkins, Joan Baez, and Lenny Williams. Her varied performance background also includes musical theater, featured vocals in No Place Like Pink, and appearances in the John Lennon tribute production Love Is The Answer: The Concert for John Lennon. In 2005, her work attracted interest from Capitol Records in Los Angeles.

Today, Leslye is drawing upon her musical experience and personal perspective to develop a more intimate, authentic sound as an acoustic pop singer-songwriter.

New music and future projects are in development. In the meantime, the recordings featured here document earlier chapters of her musical journey.
