LEGION

Formed and based in New Jersey by brothers Frank and Joe Adamo...Legion is a hard driving, powerful and melodic Heavy Metal band, Drawing heavy influence from 70's and early 80's Traditional style Heavy Metal. The band's sound and song-writing style has been critically acclaimed by many in the music media and has garnered the band a respectable global fan base.In 2004 with the lineup of Frank Adamo and Joe Adamo (guitars), Colin Bianchi (drums), Mike Bunk (vocals) and Nick Marinov (bass)...Legion printed a four song demo as a sampler. Inspired by the many favorable reviews of the demo, the band finished recording and mixing the album in early 2005. Self-released on June 15, 2005 "Shadow of the King" immediately received rave reviews both overseas and abroad - culminating in Legion being offered a spot on the German "Heavy" magazine's Metal Crusade XI CD sampler (with the track "Medicine Man" being selected for the compilation CD). In 2006 Majestic Rock Records would then re-release and re master the album in both Europe and Japan. The band then primarily focused on the follow-up to "Shadow of the King" while receiving both local and world-wide radio airplay, as well as more stellar reviews and interviews (highlighted by being selected for Tony Iommi's "Black Sunday Radio Show Series 2"). During writing and rehearsals for the follow up CD, personal problems and line-up instability constantly plagued the band, resulting in the need for a new lineup. After going through a myriad of different vocalist, 2010 saw the arrival of Vocalist Ralph Gibbons and work on the album immediately commenced. In 2014 Arthur Maglio joined the band on bass, then 2015 saw Legion enlisting John Soden as new drummer, replacing long time drummer Colin Bianchi and thus completing the new lineup as the band closed the year with a series live shows in the New Jersey area. With the highly renowned John JD Deservio (bassist of Black Label Society, Cycle of Pain) mixing the finished product. In early 2016 it has been announced that Pure Steel Records has signed the band for the world-wide release of the long awaited new album entitled "Warbeast" With a September 30th 2016 release date.
