“Even though this US band has just over 18 years band experience, this current incarnation of Korotory is by far the strongest. This is abundantly clear from the new album The Conquering, its got more gems than Cartier....
The opening into track lulls you into a melodic power chord majesty before smacking you full force with Spineless - its a good indication of what to expect from the rest of the album. Fast paced thrash fused percussion, groove led bass and crunchy guitar all heightened by a growly vocal that stays the right side of guttural.
Korotory have succeeded where many fail, in that while you hear the influences of Rage Against The Machine, Lamb of God and even Rob Zombie - the material retains its originality.
Standout tracks for me are the mosh pit inducing *track 3 and *track 7 which is full of angsty social commentary and proves that this band can do a lot more than write a stonking riff.
Korotory, I salute you...third times a charm....
“Fast, fast...Speeding fast Metal, yet still retains it's heavy sound. Korotory has the tightness and smoothness of a well oiled machine. I honestly tried to find something wrong ( laugh ) but this seems to be, what I can say " Just what the doctor ordered for Metal". Powerful, inciting and Very, very provocative, standing for Freedom. If you want Lightning fast and thunderous jolts with the screams that you can understand , I can only say "Horns Up"....for sure.
Bang..Bang Metal wins Another Killer Score with this Band

“This is the new full length album from Long Island stalwarts Korotory, nine new tracks from this long time exponents of heavy metal, going since 1995 in one form or another, hails to them for their longevity. Well what is this album like? I will tell you people you get nine tracks of thrash/death metal that is impeccably played by a band that you would expect to do just that. Right from the kick off with “Hell's Gate” which is one of the slower, softer songs on the album it just rips, with a rifforama on “Spineless” this album just belts on and is a cracking release. They cover most genres of metal with a touch of thrash and a good touch of death and a tip of the hat to NWOBHM as well, Everything about this album is top notch, with some great playing throughout, these guys are all top notch musicians and have honed their craft nicely, and to think that three of the guys are new to the band is mind boggling!!”

“In today’s metal scene, there’s too many bands that end up sounding like an exact replica of their influences. Fortunately, Korotory do the exact opposite – They take their influences and recreate them into something fresh and such is the case with Chapter III: The Conquering. While their influences can still be heard in the background, the band have done well to morph the album into their musical vision and truly raise hell with this album. I can see this being the soundtrack to the apocalypse!
“What I liked most about the album is that the band seems to have clearly drawn influence, musically, from heavyweights like Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura, (old-school) Metallica and Testament, without actually sounding exactly like or ripping off any of those bands. Much like the layering of a Sundae with a solid cake base and everything else put on top, Korotory lay a strong foundation with Thrash and Death metal elements while adding toppings like stomp riffs, odd-time-signature changes and a variety of vocal ranges and lyrics. They’ve put in a little bit of every metal genre I like and, much like a Sundae, combined it into one massive, amazing offering!”

"Korotory is the reason why the phrase "get ready to shred" was created. Once you hear the blistering guitars, the killer vocals, and the hammering drum beats you will become a fan for life"
“Killer time at Bloodfest! You guys destroyed!!! I am convinced that people understand why Korotory is my favorite LI metal band!”
— Jesse "Omega" Miller
“Right off the bat, this reminds me of some Exhorder, just from the loud, heavy production… it’s a bit raw, but you can get what’s going on here… They’ve been around since 1995, and been carrying the metal torch through thick and thin.”

“What's up guys?!! I just played y'all tonight on my radio show!!! Killer record!”

“Thanks for the CD - It's a taste of what might have been of 90s metal if grunge didn't exist, some other parallel dimension that has been obscure until brought to our realm by Korotory.
