Kollision Band

Kollision Band (KB) burst onto the “Wylers” Music Scene in St. Kitts and Nevis on March 15th 2003. Originally known as the “Small Band” among competing giants; Grand Masters, Nu Vybes International, and Small Axe Band, Kollision earned their stripes over time with rhythmic, energetic Carnival beats that gained popularity with their fans; 2009/10 “Bouncin’ Time”: Bounce Pon It, Wring Off Yuh Waist, Spin 20010/1 “Jump Pon De Train”: Train, Woman to Man, Jump Pon It, Wine Up 2011/12 “Nar Ease Up”: Bounce, Stroke It, Stop Cut Style, Wanna Be There 2012/13 “Armed and Dangerous”: Dangerous, Big Shake, Hustle, Ride Up 2013/14 “No Respect”: Anthem, Wuk Up, As they travel across the globe playing to fans in Anguilla, Statia, Tortola, Virgin Gorda and St. Martin, they bring a new style of music to the UK and Europe. Originating in St. Kitts and Nevis, “Wylers”, combines the high energy of Caribbean Soca/Zouk, the quick tempo of Latin music, with a steady hypnotizing rhythm that forces you to move your waist, or at least tap your toes to the beat. Kollision Band, also affectionately referred to as the “Teflons”, entered 2013 in 2nd Place for Best Road March with their song “Big Shake”, which developed into a catchy dance at St. Kitts and Nevis Annual Carnival 2012-2013. In March 2014 Kollision Band celebrated their 10th Year Anniversary. Then, on June 27th 2013 they earned a spot to perform on St. Kitts Music Festival (SKMF) after over-whelming demand from their fans was heard and answered by SKMF Committee. Kollision Band is comprised of some very talented young artists who push their talents with no limit. Jermaine “Chubby” Clarke is the lead vocalist and shares front stage with Janos “Baggy” Bagnall. Previously, Baggy was a vocalist and played percussion in a band named Royaltiez. Then, he sang with Nu Vybes International. After filling in for another singer in Kollision Band three times Janos became a permanent member. Recently, he placed 2nd in St. Kitts Power Soca Monarch with the tune “Wuk Up”, a popular tune on KB’s 2013/14 “No Respect Album. His talent for music also includes playing steel pan. The rest of the members that complete Kollision Band are; Bass Player and Band Leader Damian “3D” James - Lead Guitarist Calvert “Cally Bennett, Verhne “Ras DV” Pemberton - Keyboardist, Jamal “Hammer” O’garro - Drummer, and their technician Hasani “Sicker” Browne. Shervin “Teddy Bear” White completes the KB compliment.
