King Crab
Hey all. I am a lifetime Professional Musician (mainly a Drummer) and have played many years for Bands, Concerts, CD projects, studio/session work for commercial works, and have done a vast amount of LIVE performances in almost every genre - from Symphonic to Mod-Country to Rock (all forms). As a Musician, I am first and foremost a Drummer, with Keyboard-Piano skills, and do Vocals, as well. I have good skills in the Mix-Engineering Dept. (mostly my material) and as a Songwriter, make use of strong (fitting) Song Formats for my material in seeking Commercial Play. As a Life-long Drummer, I have played with many bands, LIVE & Studio (includes several LPs & CDs), and worked on various Musical Collaborations and projects. I am a product of the University of North Texas Jazz/Music program, where I was a student of Modern Music, Drumming and Piano, Jazz, Ensemble, Orchestral, Composition, and Music Theory. I studied Recording techniques with Mixmaster Skip Frazee, the top Dallas Commercial / Jingle Engineer and Final Mix for TV/Radio commercials in 1981. I learned valuable console & board mix skills from Demo to Final product with Skip. The time spent with Skip has been invaluable to me with his teachings of analog recording techniques, mic placement and choices, acoustic properties, and great tips on getting a good mix. These basic techniques and tips have carried over from analog days, to current digital recording processes. As a Songwriter, I co-wrote the Theme Song (Cable Operator) for Willie Nelson's "Outlaw Music Channel" cable TV series and have written for (and with) other Artists, as well. I am commercially published as a Songwriter (with ASCAP), have many works/songs Copyright with LOC (Wash DC), and as a Publisher, I own "Good Times Three" Music Publishing Co.@ ASCAP. In addition to Drumming & Songwriting, I am seeking to work in a position in A&R, or as a liason for a Music Entity, working with Artists & Management for Record Labels or Firms involving Talent. I would like to evaluate Artists by using my experience to enhance other Artists' works, as well as getting help with my own work as a Songwriter. I would like to be involved in the success of any company I work for, any Artist I work with, and create a successful relationship with Artists, Studios, or other Songwriters-Composers - being part of the Plan for Success. Thank you for stopping by and for listening. Steve Crabtree king.crab@yahoo.com ASCAP "GOOD TIMES THREE" Music Publishing http://www.reverbnation.com/kingcrab
