J.W. McClure

J.W. McClure is an award winning song writer and humorist. Teamed with Thaddeus Spae, in the USA Songwriting Competition their songs have garnered Six Finalist awards and one Honorable Mention. In the International Acoustic Music Awards they have been a finalist four times. In addition they have a finalist in the Great American Song Contest and a Semi-finalist award in the Song of the Year Contest. They also have a few commended entry awards in the UK Songwriting Contest. J.W. McClure delivers his unique “Absolutely True Stories” between songs. J.W. is a veteran of the '60s coffee houses and in the 70s was an opening act for nationally known performers at Washington D.C.'s infamous Childe Harold and the celebrated Cellar Door. In Washington State he may be remembered for the satire trio “Three Damp Duck. J.W.’s His love of humor and old jazz has influenced his delivery and writing. Ever a writer, he also plays traditional tunes, yodels Jimmie Rodgers and whistles with Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. His own songs are recognizable, catchy, with poetic and/or satirical lyrics.
