Just a Fluke

Just a Fluke is a four-piece alternative rock band playing originally written music that appeals to a diverse audience. The members are: Dylan Matheny (guitar/vocals), Kaylene Barber (guitar/vocals/piano), Nykita Davis-Baker (bass/vocals), and Isiah Fletcher (drums). Barber and Matheny started writing music together in the summer of 2010. Later that year, in November, the band was officially formed with the addition of Fletcher. The band began practicing together frequently, and signed up for Hot Local Knights, hosted by The Boise Venue in January and February of 2011. Out of the 40+ local bands that participated, Just a Fluke was voted first place. The band came to completion the following April, when they found Davis-Baker. Just a Fluke released a self-titled EP with five songs on February 11th, 2012. Their music is now available on various music retailer websites, including iTunes and Amazon. In May of 2012, they released their first full-length album, which includes all thirteen of their original songs, titled "And Here We Go." The full-length album is not available for purchase, but the songs are available for streaming. All four members will soon be graduating from high school, parting ways, and taking a permanent hiatus.
