

Julian Brindley
A graduate from Humber College's music program and recipient of the Duke Ellington Society Scholarship Julian is an active member of the Toronto music scene. Julian can be seen performing regularly with Charles y sus Estrellas, Victor's Fantasia Orchestra, The Steady Rebels; as well as co-leading the New Orleans brass band The Yonge Kings and jazz group Darian. For three years Julian played in the show bands aboard the Royal Caribbean fleet, and for over a decade has played in the pit orchestra for the annual productions of Clarkson Musical Theatre, City Centre Musical Productions and Theatre Unlimited While at Humber Julian studied with some of Canada's finest musicians, most notably: Al Kay, Dave Dunlop, Steve Crowe, John MacLeod, Andy Ballantyne and Pat Labarbera. Julian also had the privilege of studying privately with trumpet greats Paul Baron, Nick Marchione and Roger Ingram. As an equally capable writer and arranger Julian also keeps busy writing parts for various groups as well as his own projects, most recently his own 12 piece jazz ensemble.
