Q: what are some influences which people might not be able to extrapolate about you from an immediate listen to your music? any guilty pleasures?
A: hmm, great question.. well, first, let me preface by saying; I try not to judge myself or others on what music they listen to. I say that in response to "guilty pleasures", because I feel like being pretentious about music, or being a music snob, kills the love of music. I mean, for me, music is a reason to live. I can't determine what music may mean to others. Now, I will name some of my favorite musicians/songs/albums: starting with the Jock Jams Album of the 90's, LOVE IT!!!! I like The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, Melody Gardot, Flight of The Conchords, Kanye, Gwen Stefani, Ceu, Macklemore ( I love his content), Robin Thicke, Beyonce, "Back in Black", "Black Betty", "Ignition", "Butterfly", and definitely Journey. To name a few :) Oh and I also love spanish guitar and mandolin, or any string instruments orchestrally or staccato.
