JT Wise Band

JT Wise is a talented guitarist. You will hear many influences in his playing including Jerry Garcia, Dickie Betts, and Robben Ford to name a few. He is comfortable in a variety of musical contexts including melodic rootsy improvisation and sophiticated blues rock. Preferring clean tone and conversational jamming. "I listen to the band and can't figure out what makes JT's guitar leads so different and so great. He sounds like no one else on the planet. I'm on the edge of my seat listening to this band”! - Mary Flower. JT is joined by bassist and soulful singer Maggie Wise. Ken Woodside often joins them on drums. They perform high energy good time music with deep grooves and vocal harmonies. The songwriters mix bluesy, roots rock with old faves such as the Grateful Dead. Come get your Grateful Dead on as they perform many of your favorites. JT and Maggie, the husband and wife songwriters enjoy writing and recording music. Check out their website (www.jtwiseband.com) and music streaming including Apple, Spotify, You Tube Music, and Sound Cloud. Songs include the bluesy swamp sound of “Black Valley Railroad” a prohibition era train with moon shine and dancing; or a dance shuffle about dear old “Aunt Irene” - who was married 9 times; or the heavy blues rock “Got it Coming”.
