Joe Vanni

Some people are simply born with a beat in mind: Joe Vanni is one of them. Born Joseph Hartnett in 1989 in the DC area, the producer received music naturally, turning his innate antennas to artists such as the Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Wu-Tang, Jay-Z, Nas, The Roots and Mos Def. At the age of 7, he was zoned in to MTV and The Box, having the hip-hop era of the late 90's serve as an early tutorial for the aspiring beat-maker. As he watched his older brother produce music and create lyrics, it was then when he took the task within his own right, beginning with a simple keyboard and ModPlug, a computer program that generously opened the way for Joe Vanni to tap into his prime source--himself. Since then, Joe Vanni has made countless connections with his music, taking an interest in various genres as an adolescent then connecting with minds who know the beat just as he does.
