Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, ON I grew up playing guitar in the 80's - quite possibly the best time to grow up playing guitar. I was a metalhead from a very early age, being exposed to all my influences indirectly from my older brother...AC/DC, Kiss, Anvil, Accept, Tygers of Pan Tang, Sabbath, Ozzy, Def Leppard...but when I heard my brother & his friends jamming out Victim of Changes by the Priest and brought home the newly-released Number of the Beast album, I knew I was experiencing the pinnacle of all things heavy metal. Started my first band around the age of 13 called Broken Halo & carried through highschool playing parties, etc & were one of the few local bands, especially that age, who were throwing their own songs in amongst the covers. In the 90s I joined a punk rock band that eventually became The Spigots & we had a few short but popular years packing in the local banquet halls and managed to get on a compilation album called Dead On The Road: Songs Without Keyboards. I got my BA in music studying classical guitar but I decided I didn't want my lifelong hobby to become my day-to-day job. Since then I've stuck to playing for my own enjoyment and have recently gotten into recording my stuff on my own...hardly a full-time thing, I do bits and pieces when the mood strikes or I have the time. Just thought I might share with the rest of the metal world. Let's rock.
