Urban Legend is that rare artist that stands out above the rest. Repping Killadelphia, Pistolvania (philadelphia, pa) in the vein of artists before him that include Cassidy, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, Gillie and a few other local rappers, Urban Legend is destined to be the next great lyricist for the new generation of fans. With his status as “the best unsigned hype” insight, he is set to make his career debut a rememberable one. Born in Philadelphia, T.U.L recalls his earliest memories of music through his families diverse record collection that included musical giants Barry White, Al Green and The Commodores. It was in 1998 while attending Williamstown High School that Urban Legend discovered his lyrical abilities in the lunchroom, free-writing songs. In 99'/2000, Urban Legend merged with the group H.B.C (Hell Bound Clique), who later joined the underground label, Supreme Ent. Currently working on his solo project, Curious Legend, which drops in 2007. Urban Legend looks to make a statement delivery a ferocious attack with great music and punchlines. With the city of Philly and Jerz behind him, the swagger of a champion and the heart of a lion determined to bring rap back to making quality music, Urban Legend has finally achieved the respect he has worked so hard for. Not only creating some of the craziest verses w/ crisp flow and delivery “The Punchline” (and dares anybody to prove him otherwise), the West Philly representative and South Jersey beast he has gone on a quest to gain respect by all.
