Greencard Wedding

Greencard Wedding is a theatrical indie-folk-rock duo that originated in New York and continues to work all over America and abroad to raise awareness about artist visa's, immigration and the importance of gathering in pubs.  ​ Their music is a combination of acoustic guitar and tight vocal harmonies played by two people on 6 instruments. It includes English and Gaelic lyrics. Many Greencard Wedding shows include; bubbles, Irish toasts, Gaelic, a set list t- shirt worn by one lucky audience member, and wedding cake infused with Irish whisky. ​ Since 2014, Greencard Wedding has performed/toured productions of their musical Greencard Wedding to The Miami Light Project, The Brick Theater, StoryCode NYC, Dixon Place, The Allways Lounge in New Orleans and Carrie Morris Performing Arts Center in Detroit MI, where Ryan McCurdy won best actor in the Detroit Fringe Festival. GCW has performed in concert at The Bitter End, The Metropolitan Room, The Delancey, Leftfield DROM, Fat Baby, Ella Lounge, The LES Music Festival, The Parkside Lounge, Bowery Poetry Club. Their song GUST, commissioned for the global Climate Change Theater was performed in New York, Carnegie Mellon University, Arizona, Los Angeles, Lithuania and Berlin. Speaking engagements include Mason Gross School of the Arts and New York Mensa.
