FLYRANT

Flyrant born Kody Hornburg, raised in Aspen Colorado began his musical career around 13 years old, making and mixing hip hop beats in a friends basement. His first professional gig was djing a wedding at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen Colorado which made him realize his talent and love for connecting the music to the crowd. Instantly addicted to the feeling of augmenting people’s emotion with his sound, he got right to work developing and perfecting his skill for the remainder of his high school education. When the time came for him to decide on a university to attend and either continue his athletic career or follow his dreams performing and creating music for the masses, he chose to pursue his dreams and attend Full Sail University in Orlando, Fl. After two years he graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Recording Arts, making many connections and doing what he enjoyed most but on a somewhat of a smaller scale then what he craved. he held residencies at a few different clubs in orlando and had a few of his mixes in circulation with other dj’s in the area. While his taste for multiple genre production grew during his time in florida. Not wanting to be limited to one genre he produced R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae, Classic Rock, and Electronic music. Then after spinning a couple underground raves and certain electronic clubs in orlando he found a new way and love for fusing all the music he had been producing into one. The groovy, dance, feel good oriented project now known as FLYRANT. He is currently in production of his second album spending most of his time developing A new sound and a brand new performance concept that could bring dj’s to the very front of the stage on a much more interactive and appealing level. Giving the crowd a new way to associate a dj’s actions with the sound they are performing. The goal is to bring music to the people who already just can’t seem to get enough but in a brand new way.
