Most of the tracks on the EP, including the title song, relate to Louise’s long running dedication to raising awareness of domestic abuse. The lyrics relate to the struggles of victims and survivors, and pay tribute to those who have been able to free themselves from awful situations. But those expecting a downbeat collection should think again – though the tone is undoubtedly serious, the lyrics celebrate the strengths and victories of their female protagonists.
