“Death Party UK is the new side project of Trevor Bamford Death Party UK is one of two new projects by Trev and consists of ideas and tracks that were formed during his time in both projects, these ideas fitted the mould of neither. Influences for the project include The Hunter’s Club, The Cramps, The Gun Club, Roky Erikson and Johnny Cash. This EP is the fruition of those ideas. Black Train has a full on Swamp Twang, at first I was sceptical about a Drum Machine, but further listening and checking out Hunter’s Club I can fully see their relevance as an influence, it doesn’t sound weedy, it compliments the guitar sound well. Its refreshing to see Trev going all out on guitar again, it’s a full expansive sound not too effects ridden. She’s so Hot uses a fuller choppier riff combining with the fuller sound of the previous track. The EP holds out though, delivering its best tracks later on, Don’t You Ever being the first it has a darker atmosphere and has a strong vocal. ”
