Damon & Matthews (Featuring Flip Damon)

Damon & Matthews have been writing and producing music since the Seventies. They grew up during the early rock era, and were strongly influenced by a number of artists during that time. Vocalist, Flip Damon started his career as the drummer for the boys' early band, "Horn, Wood, & Silver", while J. Royce Matthews was the lead guitarist. Both have expanded their interests to writing, producing and recording their compositions. They own and operate their own state of the art studio in Maryland, and continually work on new and some earlier material. Their first album together, "Sail to The Sun" brings forth a presentation of newer songs, and a couple of older ones that they re-mastered. The title track is a tribute song to the world famous Beach Boys who strongly influenced Flip in his earlier years. He and J.R. continue to write and explore new approaches to a classic sound that prevails, even today. The recent resurgence of classic rock, and easy listening pop songs provides a backdrop for their work. So take a little time and listen to their music, and remember all of the great memories of youth.
