I always knew I wanted to do music. From the time I was born I was screaming a melody. When I was a little girl, my father would tell people I was going to be a singer one day, I would emphatically interject with “No dad, I’m going to be a music artist!”. Somehow even at that age, being called a singer sounded like I was going to end up a lounge act in Vegas and I knew I wanted to do more than just sing music, I wanted to create it.
