Metal Asylum’s RAM Battle Middle East, this year’s most anticipated band battle in the UAE underground rock and metal scene, and is nearly upon us. Eight bands from across the Middle East will battle it out in one day of pure rock and metal madness on July 29th. From 8pm to 3am, Cheers Bar at The Lodge, Al Nasr Leisureland will be jam-packed with back-to-back, mind-blowing, face-melting, toe-tapping rock and metal from across the Middle East ! First up will be the rock bands, featuring rockers Freefall from Kuwait, Revelerz - Alternative Rock from Kuwait, then the metal bands will hit the stage. This section will feature winners of the RAM Battle UAE - Coat of Arms - Metal core – Abu Dhabi, UAE; 5grs - Metal – Iran; My Precious Ophelia - Symphonic metal – Egypt; Explode - Progressive thrash metal – Iran; Underground Dream - Metal/Hard rock – Iran and Massive Scar Era - Melodic metal core – Egypt. The winner will be decided by four professional musicians, each with over ten years in the music industry, they are; Ziad Makki – Edit or Rockability Magazine/Musician, Barney Ribeiro – Nervecell guitarist, Sean Allison – bassist of rockers Riff Raff, Ramzi Essayed - creator of JorZine webzine and vocalist of Bilocate. Rounding off the night will be a perf or mance by dark oriental metal band, Bilocate, who have gathered a massive local and international following and have just come back from the Gottik Treffen Festival in Germany , where they played alongside some of metal’s greatest names. Rage and clothing brand Metal Mulisha, will be providing sponsorship for the Metal Asylum event as they launch the Metal Mulisha range in the UAE. Prizes Include: Dh3,000 voucher from Musician’s Warehouse to spend on instruments and gear SIX hours tracking time from In the Mix Studios Dubai Clothing from Rage brand Metal Mulisha Tours encompassing the UK, Asia and the Middle East Tickets are Dh70 at the door and the event is NO UNDER 21. Bands will be selling their merchandise at the event, so bring some extra cash!
